Message from the Rabbi

“So they impaled Haman on the stake which he had put up for Mordecai, and the king’s fury abated.” (Esther 7:10)
The parallels between Haman and Hamas abound today. The irrational desire to see the demise of our people can be heard in the chants of “from the river to the sea.”  So let’s be clear about what that chant means so we can set the record straight.  It comes from the Hamas charter calling for Jews to be eradicated from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean sea.  It is not about freedom for all.  It is not about establishing democracy.  It is about the slaughter of our people.  
I only wish that like the story of Esther, there might be a fairy tale ending to this horrible war.
