Message from the Rabbi

"Esau said, “I have enough, my brother; let what you have remain yours.” (Genesis 33:9)
On Thanksgiving so many sat around bountiful tables surrounded by family and friends and we counted our blessings.  Immediately, many Americans went on line and rushed to stores in order to buy more stuff. 

Today is Giving Tuesday. This is an opportunity to recalibrate our priorities.  Finding balance in our lives is difficult and when we can’t, may the scale tips towards giving and gratitude.

We need to pass along more than material wealth, we need to share with our children what we believe, think and feel. This is will be a chance to begin to formulate thwe why of how we live.  Bring your notebooks and get ready to write and rewrite and we explore the big issues of living.
