Message from the Rabbi

“You shall not work at your occupations.” (Leviticus 23:7)
“The Jewish festivals challenge us:  Do we define ourselves primarily by our work?  Or do we define ourselves primarily by our total humanity, our ability to celebrate, to sanctify time, to share special moments with our families?” (Etz Hayim Humash page 725)
This week I challenge you to find something to celebrate and find someone with whom to celebrate. The difficulties in life come.  The obstacles will be there.  You don't have to look for them.  However, if we don’t take the time for joy and happiness they will pass us by without even noticing them.
