Becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah is not something that happens overnight, and it is not something that just happens to the Bar or Bat Mitzvah. This is a great opportunity for the entire family to celebrate, grow, and learn. It is also a great moment to focus on what is truly important to us. Parents together with their Bat or Bar Mitzvah student with gather with the Rabbi once a month to explore how this special moment can impact each of our identities. In each session, we will explore another aspect of what being Jewish means to us. How did our families get to be the way they are? Why did we observe what we observe, and how can we add more meaning to our families' lives? This is geared towards six and seventh graders in GHC's Religious School; however all member families will students in this grades are invited to participate.
