Green Team, Sisterhood, SATO, Men's Club and Adult Education are co-sponsoring the Executive Director of SELF, Solar Electric Light Fund, Robert Freling, to speak to GHC. SELF is a non-profit organization that has been in existence for over 31 years that does work in the areas of solar energy, women’s empowerment, and children’s immunizations. This will be a meaningful program in our community’s efforts to do Tikkun Olam and repair the world. 

SELF's mission is to use "the power of the sun to fight poverty and climate change."
From their website: "Energy access is at the root of some of our greatest global inequities—from education to food security to healthcare. SELF works with communities around the world to establish solar energy projects, with a focus on environmental justice, community ownership, and scalable outcomes."

The free event begins with brunch, followed by our guest speaker.
